Music Announcements:   The Messiah Lutheran Church Choir & Orchestra is on Summer break until after Labor Day.  Members may schedule a Sunday for participation in the Service Music by contacting the Music Director at:  E-Mail

Service Music continues for the online Services.  Choir & Orchestra in person group meetings are suspended during the current “State of Emergency” and communications are available online.

Messiah Lutheran Church Choir & Orchestra

Messiah Lutheran Church Choir — The choir assists in leading during the worship service singing the Service Music, Hymns, Psalms and Canticles.  Anthems are sung that reflect upon the Scripture readings appointed and the Liturgical Calendar.  The choir sings at the Sunday 10:30 a.m. Divine Service from September to June and at services for Advent, Christmas, Lent, Holy Week and Thanksgiving.  Rehearsals for choir members are Wednesday evenings from 7:30-9:00 p.m. Membership is open to all ages.


Messiah Lutheran Church Orchestra — This parish instrumental ensemble was formed in August 2016 to play at services.  Rehearsals are on Sunday’s from 12:30-1:30 p.m.  September through June.  Auditions are open for all instrumentalists.  The ensemble is currently composed of violins, 2 violas, violoncello, guitar basso continuo and organ.  Repertoire includes hymns, service music, anthem accompaniments, selections from Bach Cantatas, Handel Oratorios, Handel Organ Concertos and includes instrumental music of Bach, Handel, Mozart, Purcell and Vivaldi.
